OPEN ENROLLMENT begins for Kid's World Afterschool Care on May 1, 2013. All those interested in having their child attend afterschool care for the 2013-14 school year need to complete the registration paperwork and return it to the Kid's World address at 2710 N. Woods Lane, Rogers, Arkansas, 72756. The paperwork is found on the Rogers School District website under Support services/Afterschool care. We are opening two new facilities this year. Janie Darr Elementary and Jones Elementary will have afterschool care for the 2013-14 year. Availability is limited, so please submit registrations quickly to reserve a spot for your child. The registration fee is $10 per child once a year. Tuition is $35 a week per child. If you have questions, please contact the Kid's World office at 479-631-3696.

Welcome to Rogers! New student enrollment for elementary students in grades 1-5 begins April 22 (or April 29 at Eastside). Kindergarten registration is ongoing at their boundary school. Students in grades 6-12 who will be new to the district may register Aug. 6-7 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Enrollment forms and information on documents needed are available online if you would like to fill them out in advance. Old Wire Road Elementary  2012 NCEA Higher Performing School

The National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA), a department of ACT, Inc., recognized Rogers Public Schools for having Old Wire Road Elementary school in their district make the 2012 NCEA Higher Performing Schools List. Old Wire Road Elementary  received the honor and Higher Performing (HP) recognition in the following areas:

• Old Wire Road Elementary , Math higher performing based on advanced.
• Old Wire Road Elementary , Literacy higher performing based on advanced.
• Old Wire Road Elementary , Science higher performing based on growth.

The Higher Performing Schools  are identified by two measures: consistent improvement in student achievement from previous years (growth) and/or absolute student achievement using the school's performance results on the spring 2011-2012 Arkansas Augmented Benchmark Exams (ABE) test. NCEA's higher performing methodology controls for school and student demographics to allow for an apples-to-apples comparison of school achievement and to demonstrate that with the commitment of educators, all schools can have success no matter the zip code. NCEA provided award certificates to each Higher Performing School and the district.
